Easter is such a special time for me! Although the sunshine, flowers, and lushness of spring are all undeniably wonderful, what I love most about Easter is that it brings an overwhelming sense of purpose back into my life. Usually this tired and weary soul can become completely worn out, but Easter—and the promise it brings me as a Christian—gives me a renewed sense of hope. Easter forces me to sit, be still, and reflect on the amazing gift that Jesus gave me through the cross, and it brings me to my knees time and time again.
I love celebrating Easter with my family—especially my babies! Hiding and painting eggs with the kids and watching them comb through their Easter baskets are always precious, memory-making moments. But to be able to share with my children the gospel and how much Jesus loves them is the GREATEST privilege for me!
My sweet mom used to (and still does!) put together such creative Easter Baskets for me in some sort of non-traditional vessel—like a great purse or beach bag. She fills it not only with my favorite Easter candies, but also with useful items, like a beach towel, pajamas, or make up. This is why I included some bags/containers in the first category below that could serve as an Easter Basket for moms, dads, or even for older daughters, sons, daughter-in-laws, or son-in-laws. We’ve also included a few examples of ways that you could fill them up!
Below are some wonderful ideas for you and your family’s Easter Baskets. I hope you will find many items that you will want to include for your loved ones during this wonderful season.
